Default Cessna 150 STC questions, Cont. IO-240?

Couple of questions guys and girls.
There may be a C150 in my future.
Basically to put around and maybe get SWMBO her Private.
Since adequate isn’t good enough I’d like to know if there are any STC’s out there to fit a Continental IO-240?
Yes the engine out of the DA20-C1 which impressed me.
Still looking at 4-4.5 gallons/hr fuel burn and with a nicely cut prop it should perform nicely.
All the other conversions out there burn stupid fuel or basically make it a one person plane due to weight increase.

Whenever I see"SWMBO" I think of a Dominatrix/sub male relationship.

Ahhh, the incredible spectrum of relationships!

Found a REALLY old link:

IO-240 Continental engine

Not much information though.

Why not just find a square tail C-172 and not worry about mods?

Because I hate 172’s with a vengeance and don’t care to ever fly one again in my life.
Always liked the 150 better then the 152. Just a cute little airplane without a mean bolt in its body.
172....you might as well have taken a leak in my beer.....
And SWMBO can’t fly a 172 as she’s a little vertically challenged
Thanks for the link but I’d found that one already and it’s pretty much useless non info.

One thing about the stock 200 engine you should consider is it has a much higher TBO at 2400 hours.

IO-240 is 2000 which is plenty and the 0-200 is a low compression little ice maker.

No. O-200 has 1800TBO. O-235 in a 152 is 2400.

Google "FAA STC Database". You can search the database by make/model. If any STC is available, you'll see it there.

Seems like by the time you spend all the money, you could just pick up an older DA-20, which is a much better airplane than any 150/152 is ever going to be.
