New Tax Bill and Per Diem

Those aren’t people. Those entities pay taxes (thankfully, now reduced taxes) on the income their activities generate. People who own them still have to file and pay individual income tax returns just like the rest of us.
Those corporations now get to keep more of their earnings. Reinvest them, grow, hire more people, pay those people more (which we’re already seeing happen), make even more money, pay tax on those increased earnings and so on.
So let’s dispense with the Dem talking points about the rich not paying taxes and while everyone else does. A reduction in the corporate tax rate doesn’t affect the taxes of any individual person.

Everyone needs to learn a little bit about tax incidence and why corporations don’t pay taxes, they collect them. Workers pay they less investment in equipment and training; customers pay they higher prices and the capital owners (they include your 401k portfolio) pay they lower returns.
I sincerely doubt there are many “rich guys” paying less than you! NJ had one leave for Florida who paid, with his partners, over $100 million in state taxes.
