Side Job

Greetings All,

I'm considering heading back to a regional. I'm looking to do some work on the side on days off to make up the pay gap. Does anyone do any side work (not flying)? Uber seems like a pretty fitting prospect. Does anyone drive for Uber or Lyft?

Lots of people do Uber/Lyft.

I drove for Lyft for about two months in SLC when I was on reserves. It helped tremendously, especially during winter. Most of the time, I'd make an easy $60 for only a few hours, but once in a while, make several hundred in one night. Best part, you can "cash out" as soon as you earn $50 or more. Hit the deposit button on the app and the money is immediately deposited into your bank account. It's an easy way to make fast cash.
One thing to keep in mind though, if you owe money on your car and carry full coverage insurance, make sure your insurance company will cover everything during ridesharing. Lyft and Uber only offer liability, not comprehensive.

I'm doing postmates (bike food/package delivery) in my off days, good way to stay healthy for your medical and make some side cash.

I work in retail. The flexible hours some places offer are pretty decent.
