Thumbs down False ICBM alarm in Hawaii

Hawaii officials: ?Employee pushed wrong button,? mistakenly warning of inbound ballistic missile | NBC4i.com

Was anyone around when this happened?

Could you imagine the chaos in some place like ATL or NYC or ORD or LAX if this had happened there instead?

Figured it was a hack job. My family wasn't concerned. Should have known the incompetence of nearly everything government here is involved in was the answer.
Many snowflakes got triggered.
Not much you can do if the island gets nuked.

North Korea can't hit the US with a missile now, and won't be able to for years, if ever.

With a target of somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, they have hit that about half the time. The only city they have hit is one of their own.

That's kinda what I thought. If they were aiming for Hawaii, then Hawaii might be the safest place to be

What really infuriates me is how so many idiots immediately jumped to the conclusion that this was a NORAD screw up. And then the Hawaii congress person that whines that "IF only we would TALK to NK and get them to dismantle their nukes?" And she's a Major in the US Army. GMAFB.

Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and now wait and watch Oct 13, 2018... nine months later a bunch of ICBM (Ballistic) babies. If all you had was twenty minutes left to live what would you do?? Oops!

Always assume your opposition is perfect...cultural blindness such as that led to Pearl Harbor, the first time. Young Fat Un has it in his head threatening a round two is in his interest. This is not a advocacy for preemptive war, just pointing out cultures see things differently.
