Headset Advice
I am looking to buy a headset in the near future, and am looking for some advice on what to get. A lot of the information I've read on this suggest to not cheap out on one, and get one that will protect your hearing, and last you for decades, and not years. I would like a headset that can be used for both GA and the airlines someday. Of the few headsets I have worn, I prefer the over the ear models as opposed to the on the hear or earbud varieties. The main two that I am looking at is the Bose A20 or the DC One-X because of their ANR. Are there any others that people would recommend? Has anyone had a chance to use both the A20 and One-X to compare them directly?

A20 is THE BEST choice for GA hands down. Others such as light speed and DC are good but no honest person can say they are better performance or sound quality wise. Now that being said many other brands are a better value. I had the light speed the performance was good the sound quality and clarity was not on par with bose. But for the price.... in the airlines you can continue to use the bose but I think it’s overkill’s a lot of guys use on ear/in ear. Or bose quiet comfort with the ufly mike. But any of these are not as good as the A20 you won’t be happy flying GA with them. They are just smaller and lighter. In a jet it’s not as critical.
