Nah. Just a contract mail pilot, bunking at the wrong address.

Maaannn. No charges filed, really. Sort of disconcerting the Frey oldie, I must admit. The house pretty close, different color on my VW Thing. Stolen from the parking lot at Tobacco Road. Recovered a few days later when a lady called the cops on her neighbor's kid. Wasn't even mine. Jesus. RIP Glenn.

Speaking of which, where's my manners, your recovery video for group Hoss:https://youtu.be/B0Rm-Hl72tg

So, if no objections, time to go. 516 brilliant commentaries, only to be brought down by Top Gun Tom. Unless somebody really needs to hear a Burn Notice walk-on story???

I've read that five times and I still don't comprehend. Must be generational.

In part, yes skipper.

Glenn Frey, smuggler's blues creator was also an Eagles front man. Their anthem Hotel California a metaphor of the period's empty excess and the LA art culture having lost any attachment to the era of peace & love which preceded it.

Four months gone, what silenced the voice of Irish song writer Delores O'Riordan, yet to be released. Well known she battled substance abuse, among other things. Lyric's zombie alludes to how the dead perpetuate suffering, blame and acts of retribution within innocent minds of successive generations, long separated from a conflict's hate filled origin. An angry planet predisposed to stomp out empathy at birth.

I grew up in a time and place where dealing weed was common. The retail value of cocaine and Reagan's mandatory minimum sentencing statutes caused the risk/reward equation of black market trade to soar. I spent time in the company of such people as they got older. One of them died after being shot down in Central America, another just disappeared. A third managed to straighten himself out & retired as a homicide investigator. The informant spoken of, with whom I shared a house briefly, was a former Army Huey pilot. Ironically, I had no prior awareness of his complicity in smuggling activities.

Burn Notice was a TV series which filmed in S. Florida. I was at Bakers Haulover when I encountered the crew by chance. After one of the production assistants discovered my wife had appeared on an episode of Miami Vice, they put us in a scene. Took two hours. Got paid in pita sandwiches. We have never used illegal narcotics. We do likely fit the general description of high-bottom alcoholism.

Blazing Saddles was a parody of American folklore. Cowboy farts speak for themselves. Tom Cruise took the role of Barry Seal in American Made. He also played Maverick in Top Gun. For a baby boomer, pretty good actor I think.

Unkind to have told all this here. Drove carelessly over a thread pothole, an ashtray spilled. Waste of bandwidth, apologies.

Maybe not, I saw Godspell and JCSS in NYC in 1973 on layovers. So there is that. Maybe it all came around again, just in a different suit.
