In desperate need of a divorce lawyer
Anybody know of a good divorce lawyer in the Atlanta area, that would be good for an airline pilot that has kids and a crazy/narcissistic wife? I know I could just Google lawyers, but I'm wondering if there is anyone that has used somebody or knows a guy that has used someone that they can highly recommend, preferably in the SW ATL area, but I won't be picky. There's gotta be a ton here with all the Delta guys, but I don't know any to ask...
Thanks.... |
Sorry bud, don't know any Sharks in ATL; but be careful! If she is crazy (and this is coming from a woman) you have no idea how crazy she'll get when it comes to Divorce. Get the Cruelest Lawyer you can, no matter the cost; you can be Damn sure she will.
Keep the dirty side down Amigo, and always remember....ALL, I repeat ALL, women are crazy, you just have to find the variety of crazy you can live with. RadialGal |

RadialGal Lol, you got that right actually... they are all crazy!! Just picked the wrong level of crazy to get married to. Unfortunately, the real crazy didn't manifest itself until later in our marriage AND until after our kids were born. Now it is just non-stop. I find it very refreshing when a woman can admit that kind of stuff. Crazy and you know it, clap you hands! That's the kind of crazy I can live with.... (No offence of course. ;)) It's funny though, as much as she complains about me and calls me a loser and I don't know what else...she would be the last one to leave. So yes, I do believe you are absolutely correct in that I need a lawyer that will not be walked all over, because I am sure she will find the one that will try to destroy me... She almost has already health-wise so.... Thanks for the advice though, always appreciate a woman's perspective.... |
Just sent you a PM.

I had two lawyers, one that wasn't AAML cert'd, and one that was. Yes, they are typically more expensive. But as I'm sure that you already know, and many here can attest: divorce is expensive...because it's worth it.

Did you have them both at the same time working together or like, the non-AAML cert'd one first and then you fired that one and got the AAML one... I mean, I definitely need one that is big on father's rights and that would understand spousal abuse of the husband, because I would say that is exactly what I have experienced. And my kids are suffering too because of my wife and her temper and her poor mothering. In any case, not gonna go into great detail about it, but let's just say that I am the injured party here, not my wife. Although she would have you believe otherwise of course. Naturally, I have flown with a great number of formerly married guys and I don't think a single one has ever said that he made the wrong choice in getting divorced... I hope to be one of the lucky many some day. I thank you for the suggestion and I will definitely keep it in mind when selecting a lawyer... |
I wonder what she is saying about YOU on her sewing forum :D

Lol....:p She doesn't know how to sew, but I'm not worried... I honestly don't even think she tells her friends anything. She certainly doesn't talk to her friends very much anyways so... |

I mean, I definitely need one that is big on father's rights and that would understand spousal abuse of the husband, because I would say that is exactly what I have experienced. As far as father's rights, bias of the court, etc., my second attorney, if I were to be frank, was entrenched in many of the biases that are stereotypical, and I had several pointed discussions about tailoring the tactics and long term strategy in ways that sometimes ran counter to his accustomed routine. But it was his broader grasp of family law, to include the national, and even international spheres (what if she leaves the country with the kids?), asset division, custody, spousal maintenance, and case law that goes beyond local and state, THAT was where the credentialing mattered. Many attorneys include Family Law on their list of practice areas, but few make it their core skillset. If you didn't fly but had a King Air, would you hire an C-MEL rated school teacher to fly it for you? |
