Nasa???

Ok I am not an engineer or a military test pilot - out of curiosity are there any other jobs out that NASA offers in the field of aeronautics, other than that of a aerospace engineer/test pilot???

I would be very interested in knowing...

Right - I have attacked that website and I haven't been able to produce much in what "types" of jobs are available in aeronautics... I keep ending up at usajobs.com... really irritating - I could be happier with the user friendliness of that site...

A buddy of mine that I went through UPT with his dad was on a couple shuttle missions and he was an astronomer not an engineer or military pilot.

Thats fascinating! I am a biology guy by education, so I am approaching this basically strictly from the perspective of aeronautics. It seems that they are typically only looking at aerospace engineers and test pilots. I am neither. Although I am looking at getting Masters in something aeronautically related...

one of my math professors at purdue was a visiting faculty member from nasa. also, I know a couple of kids that got engineering jobs there....and they weren't just aeronautical. one was structural, and another was mechanical. I think they have an internship program that allows you a foot in the door with getting hired.
