Can anyone recommend a FFL in the Denver area that is reasonable? Maybe even a pilot discount?

Thanks

Federal Firearms License, you mean?

You're looking for someone who gives discounts on firearms to pilots?

Yes. Looking to do a transfer, specifically. Although, discounted prices would be good too.

Thanks.

Almost any FFL will do a transfer for you for a few dollars; typically twenty bucks or so.

Find one near your home and set it up. They'll provide you with a copy of the FFL to forward to the seller, who can ship direct to the FFL.

I can't imagine why firearms companies would want or need to give a discount to a pilot. Some do have first responder discounts that apply to fire, law enforcement, etc. Glock did have a program that included pilots; I don't know if it's still available.

Then again, you can get some very reliable firearms, and some excellent deals these days, with lightly used firearms like some police trade-ins, saving a couple hundred dollars. AIM and Recoil and such places offer them (I've bought a few); hard to beat.

That's why I asked. The places I've called are in the $50-$60 range for a transfer. I thought I would just ask to see if anyone had recommendations to do it cheaper.

I really didn't expect a pilot discount on firearms. Although, I do know of one online dealer that offers it. And, being a UAL base, you never know.

Thanks for the reply.

Use the FFL search in the Gunbroker site, no sign in required.

After that call 1st to check fees. The one you want charges a reasonable fee, will accept from a non-FFL, an no State sales tax charged.

As you know, there is a minimum fee charge to the FFL.

Bass Pro shops only charged me $20 a few years ago. It might be more now.
