Social programs does not equate to a socialist economy, which is what real socialism is....a failed economic policy of total government control that led to the deaths of up to 150 million people in the 20th century alone.
This failed system has been rebranded and reshaped into post-modern Marxism through the use of identity politics, but the ends are the same.
The “socialism bogeyman” referenced above is real.
It’s the history that keeps getting brushed under the rug.

Go talk to an actual land owner that is on the border. They are in danger. They are largely left to fend (defend) for themselves. Their land is far less valuable than it would be if there was a wall. The vast majority would take that trade of giving up some of their land for a wall that would keep their families safe in a second.

What I would say is most people who tend bar for several years after they get their college degree would likely not make a good member of Congress.
I value the people who collect my trash at my house, and I treat them with respect as trash collectors, but I really don’t think most would make good brain surgeons.

"I value the people who fly me to my summer home, and treat them with respect as pilots, but I really don't think they would do any good running the government."
Personally, I think the country could be greatly improved if the people running the country had similar backgrounds to the people they are supposed to represent.
If the most liberal city wants to elect a democratic socialist, then fine because she will have to debate against all the other representatives that make up the rest of the country. Don't be afraid, in the market place of ideas, a lot of things get proposed, but only a few get implemented.

I’m sorry... problems that don’t exist? Climate change, lack of affordable access to quality health care and a crumbling middle class aren’t real problems that our country is facing? It’s fine to take umbrage with her policies if you have better solutions but to say that these problems are nonexistent is either disingenuous or ignorant.
