If you believe pollution is the moral equivalent of war demanding “mobilization” on the scale of WW II, as in the GND backgrounder, and continue to participate in polluting, if not a hypocrite, you’re a morally bankrupt collaborator. Mobilization, by the way, is a military term, General AOC thinks she’s a modern Jeanne d’Arc. In reality, she a misemployed barmaid.

Now, saying that, had that been a private enterprise running the program, it might have gained traction. However, they would have also calculated the actual viability of such an endeavor. So, the project in all likely hood would have never broken ground.

The resolution outlines the plan to virtually eliminate greenhouse gas emissions and pollution from every sector of the economy through a World War 2 scale mobilization of our society to create the renewable energy infrastructure and clean industries as fast as possible.

I found it entertaining to hear Governor Newsom talk about the "Bullet" Train from LA to San Fran is getting the plug pulled. He is scaling back the production by 80%. One of the worst boondoggles of my life. Market didn't support it, and another government subsidized project laid to waste.

I'd love to see the math on how much electric storage would be required to make this whole pipe dream a reality. The cost of just storage would likely far eclipse the cost of this nationwide electric HSR fantasy.
It's like a Simpsons episode; this will likely have a similar ending. We'll all be poorer with nothing to show for it. California's HSR boondoggle is a cautionary tale.

Me: I don't like the GND but there are some things in there I like.
Conservatives: You're a SOCIALIST. Like HITLER. He tried to do that too. You want to take all my money. You want the government to control every part of my life!
It's not the Bible fellas. Liking parts of what people say doesn't make someone a Communist. You all need to take a break from the rhetoric.

Poor California, the 5th largest economy in the world. Now 'Conservative' Alabama and Mississippi got it going on.
