Exactly, no where does Boeing imply they are building it for single pilot ops or that it’s currently feasible.

Not gonna happen.
Not gonna happen. Not in our lifetime, not in your kids lifetime. The logistics involved would be incredible. They could launch it today, and as a member of the traveling public and one who also works in this business, I would NEVER get on a fully automated airplane. If there are not two guys up there with some skin in the game with the rest of the passengers when the SHTF, then no thanks.

You must work for Boeing.......or one of the airlines. Yeah great idea. Let’s keep bastardizing old airplanes to keep the bean counters happy

Sounds like he proposed a entirely new aircraft. New nose, fuselage, wing and engines. Not much left from a 767. Keeping the same internal systems really has nothing to due with the type rating.

I personally do not see airline transition to a single pilot operation. The human error factor will be huge. If anything we will see it go from two pilots to no pilots in the flight deck. Much like military drones where the crew sits on the ground, that seems the next logical transition. You can have pilots monitor multiple aircraft and if there is a need they can take over.
But that's just my guess.
