Companies pausing travel over virus fears

Here's a big one. Amazon has advised its employees to pause nonessential travel domestically.

Also in the above article:

"Several major tech companies have also curtailed employee travel or canceled conferences scheduled for the coming months as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Facebook on Thursday announced it would cancel its annual F8 software developer conference, while Workdaycanceled its internal sales conference that was slated to kick off next week."

also the market dropped another 700 points today. We're down 4000 points in a single week. Most drop in history.

Troll? Pot meet kettle.

Nice panic-inducing fake news.

"Most drop in history"

Points are irrelevant to history, points get inflated over time like everything else.

Percentage drop is a far better historical comparison. We're not even on the chart (not absolutely ruling it out just yet).

There’s gonna be some degree of disruption for the next three to six months and it may be 18 months before we completely get back to normal, By this Fall, 80% of us will have already had the coronovirus.

How many already have and will never know it? How many people go to the doctor when they're sick? And of those, how often do doctors actually do any testing? Or do they just give you a prescription for something and tell you to take it easy...

This is a good question...

The entire state of CA had less than 300 test kits on hand.

People are testing positive in quarantines while having never shown a symptom.

Its impossible to contain something you can’t even “see.”

2% fatality rate.

275 million in this country.

80% have virus means 220 million get it.

2% fatality means 4.4 million Americans dead.

2% fatality rate for those KNOWN to have had it, so far. But how many have had it without knowing it? It's proven there are those with it that haven't even shown any symptoms, how many more of those are there? How many have been sick and didn't get tested? How many who have been sick and just stayed home like they normally do, and got better? Do you personally go see a doctor every time you're sick? I don't. Most people don't. If you're that afraid, take time off from your job, barricade yourself in your home, and wait it out.

I bet with time we'll see the perception was far worse than the reality.
