In need of Desperate help
Ok, so I just downloaded FS 2000 (It's probably the only one that'd run smoothly on my old PC)
I downloaded it from Ares (similar to LimeWire, BearShare, etc.) When I opened it a zip file opened. I unzipped it to My Documents. When I click the install button, It won't work. I'm really ****ed if this doesn't work because it took me 4 hours to download lol... Thanks for the help |
Well, you could always go out and pay the $5 that it costs to buy FS2000...
|
I think I saw it at Target for around 5 bucks too....
What does the fact that it took 4 hours to d/l have to do with you being totally screwed? You took a shot and it apparently didn't pay off... Now go buy it and start flying! |
It is frustrating to no end to download for hours and find the file does not work. I sympathize. Without more info it is not easy to help. I suggest you buy the program like others have suggested. Are you sure you downloaded the program or did you just download a patch? If you got a patch, save it and apply it after you buy the program. As for flight sims, I recommend the IL2 series. They are great!

Geeze back when I bought it around the time it first came out it was about 50 bucks!

In Lebanon, many electronics like PlayStations, DVD players, etc. come "upgraded" (the local term), where they are able to read fake and copied CD's.
That means fake/copied Cd's can be sold for cheap and the need for original copies is virtually none. That's why I can't just go and buy it. Also, Flight Simulator is a hard Cd to come by here [even the fake ones], that's why I downloaded it. And since I shipped all my things from the USA to here, none of my systems are "upgraded". I guess that clears my case a little bit. lol |
Forget 2000, buy FSX and run it on lowest settings. It'll be better than 2000, b/c you have better VCs, 2Ds, etc. If you have any Flight Sim questions, just PM me.
