An Interesting Theory-Thoughts?
So unlike many of my colleagues, I have been flying a fair amount since COVID has turned the industry upside down. While I am not flying nearly the amount of block hours I did in 2019, I've been flying when I can to stay sharp and to get out of the house. What I have observed since then has me scratching my head and I wanted to see if any other pilots noticed it too.
I started noticing something strange about many passengers sometime in April and May, or about the same time the lock downs were in full swing. During this time, as many are aware, the airlines were cutting over 75% of their flights. I remember having only a handful of people on my flights for entire trips. Things have since picked up dramatically, but it was happening nonetheless.
So getting to my observations about passengers. Did anyone notice something, I don't know, "off" about many of them during this period? Countless face tattoos, all black clothing, and rude behavior were just some of the questionable traits I witnessed up close. My theory is that many of them were, and still are, paid protesters/agitators who were being sent to different cities to cause chaos and destruction. I think some group was paying them (and for their ticket) to travel on airliners to the cities you now see on the news suffering from riots and looting. IIRC, I noticed more of this following the Floyd incident. I get that the tickets were cheap, but where would they be heading? Colleges were closed, no international travel;really nowhere to go. Unless, perhaps, all were visiting family?
So what say you? Is this a conspiracy that has no real basis, or is this an reasonable assumption to make given the events ongoing in our cities?

Yup, noticed that too. Transcon biz travel now consists of hauling protestors, rioters, and looters to the their next engagement. They're mostly well behaved and presumably unarmed.

not you.....your pax.
when there is a news article about a group of people curb stomping a gate agent because the flight is delayed.......do we even ask who it is anymore?
but who cares? Your business model is working awesome, and y’all have a good contract now.

Whatever fills the airplanes, right? If George Soros is paying, we should raise ticket prices though; he's got plenty of money.
