Unhappy Van Halen just died

Sadly Eddie Van Halen just died today at age 65 from throat cancer.

It's a shame. He really cleaned himself up in the last few years. His transformation was amazing.

Hopefully he’s not runnin’ with the devil right now and instead dancin’ the night away in Heaven.

RIP

The musicians of my youth are rolling up the sidewalks.

I thought the same.

He’d been fighting this for many years, just not much news about it. Also the second time with cancer.

Really saddened me. Not only a technically AND melodically gifted musician, he really struck me as being a pretty down to earth guy after he got cleaned up.

Rock the Heavens, Eddie.

And, believe it or not, EVH asked Alice Cooper to get him a guitar lesson with....Glen Campbell. Campbell with a 12-string was unbelievable, but unrecognized talent. His specialty was lead on a 12-string playing William Tell Overture on his head!

I remember that. Always brought a smile to my face. On his head, no less.
