Definitely a hard helmet then. Between the bailout and landing outside of a DZ, there are lots of opportunities for head trauma.

Hopefully, it will simply serve to hold the visor and to look cool. But...if I have to bail I definitely will care far more about effectiveness than looks.

outside possibility, most likely T34A. Maybe a Yak, but prefer western aircraft.

Thanks. I love flying, but don’t terribly enjoy the type where I’m told when and where. Although it certainly pays better.
