I understand the concern over posting openly racist comments, a stated desire to cause physical harm to a person or persons, wanting to overthrow the government, harassment..etc. There's NO place for any of that, I think we can all agree on that. However we should also all be concerned when donating to a legitimate political campaign is used against you even if you don't care for the candidate or campaign, I hope we also agree on that. Today it's MAGA supporters, tomorrow it's moderates and then it continues to move the left and the right. The article mentions identifying him by that very means and frankly? That's not a very good place to be.
We should all remember Martin Niemöller's quote - First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. He’s not being called out for supporting Trump. His donation was merely used to confirm that he’s employed by Allegiant. He’s being targeted right now for his affiliation with a violent extremist group not because he supports MAGA. |

He appears to have a 73 type and a current 1C, so I'm guessing he's an airline guy. Hope he's called the union already.

They rarely ever do that, but I think it may be possible. Typically not necessary, since they can charge you for anything serious via the civil system, and if it's just minor UCMJ chicken-poop, why bother?

Walking around inside the Capitol building, carrying zip tie cuffs, during an alleged insurgency during which multiple people died isn’t really minor. They could recall him and try him under article 134 for multiple charges, including felony manslaughter. If anything, they could do it to him as a senior officer in order to make an example of him. Civil charges probably wouldn’t result in loss of pension and medical benefits, but a courts-martial could.

Yeah, the hand cuffs means attempted sedition. Unless he picked them up as he claimed. Lots of video, they will get to the bottom of that one.

I read his interview and I got the impression he is desperately trying to backpedal. Those guys chased off the Capitol police and he now wants us to believe that he was picking up the cuffs to turn them over to the guys they just assaulted and chased away? Riiiight.

But yes, I suspect he's backpedaling. |
