Thunderous Roar Today
 

I live in a small beach town that has no traffic lights, and lucky enough to have panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean whenever I feel like it.

Today, I was in the kitchen making the stuffing for egg rolls when there was a tremendous roar outside. Didn't see anything out of the kitchen window which faces north. mr. vagabond was sitting in the breakfast nook on the west side and said 2 fighters just blasted by going south hugging the coastline. Said they were F18s, but then sometimes he can't tell a Chevy from a GMC so who knows what they were. The whole house shook.

And that's my exciting event for the day.

Are you SURE it wasn’t Mr. V. snoring in the other room🤪?? Kidding aside, That is the sound of freedom.
I grew up on/around an MCAS base with Phantoms, Skyhawks and Harriers making noise all day long. It was wierd NOT to hear it…🇺🇸🤙

my Dad always said if you look up when you hear that sound, that "you've got the airplane bug"
