Flugtag
 

I went to the Nashville edition of Red Bull Flugtag. I had a blast (except that friggin' sunburn and dehydration). We actually saw the North American distance record shattered. It was formerly 80 feet or somewhere close. The guys who broke it went 155 feet off a 30 foot ramp. A 5:1 glide ratio isn't bad for a homebuilt hang-glider. If the Flugtag visits your city, I'd advise you to go check it out.

I saw it in Miami a couple of years ago. We overnighted in a hotel downtown and just happened to be within walking distance. Fun way to spend an afternoon.

Interesting rig they had there. That event looks fun as hell. Just build it and let your inhibitions go!

Yeah. My Performance class was real close to applying to do it. Wish we had. I'll be ready if they ever swing by again.
