I often dont fully appreciate the APC experience until well after I've posted and start to enjoy the replies. You guys dont get it. I am offering to drive a truck west for someone who's making a big move. Perhaps they have a lot of things to move and multiple vehicles because they're uprooting for a major relocation. If that were the case, they might appreciate someone who can lighten the load with driving duties. That allows me to spare myself an 1800 mile EV drive. Not really so complex an idea. If no-one takes me up on it I will indeed drive it myself. Nigerian prince?! Please

“I told you, Honey…I let some guy who posted on an anonymous forum on the interwebs, drive a Uhaul we rented, with all of our belongings. I’m sure it will end up at our new place out West”

But I do love the irony that a guy with an EV won’t drive it, and still looking to have to pay for fossil fuel gas.

If you were driving say specifically from ATL to DEN then maybe if believe you. But the pick up and drop off areas are massive that could add days to the drive. You’re offer maxes no sense really

This post confuses me to no end lol. How does this benefit anyone? If the goal here is to avoid putting miles on your EV than this plan wont really save you anymore than maybe 1000 miles but runs the risk of adding days onto your travels. Something else is going on here and assuming you are legitimate which is suspect, you should have offered more details in your post. Is your EV broken, are you trying to sell it so miles matter, do you also need to move your stuff etc. There has to be more to this assuming its legit.

OK fair enough if you've never done something like this before and I only address it for someone who might read through these posts and have second thoughts.

Advantages for me:1) I save 2000 miles of un necessary wear and tear on my new EV. 2) I save myself a 30-45 minute stop every 3 hours to recharge. Both are admittedly small but they are advantages to me from my perspective and my perspective is the only one that I care to satisfy here.

Advantages for the other party: 2) Perhaps they have multiple vehicles and only a spouse or partner to move them, they are able to drive their vehicles while someone else drives the rented truck. 2) Perhaps they have... a) never driven 2000 miles cross country or... b) never driven a large vehicle, they get someone who has extensive experience doing both. 3) They may have other logistical realities pending that makes it un feasible to drive for 3 days. Plus other advantages that only they may know.

If you guys dont get it yet thats fine, you've already pretty much derailed anyone who may have thought it sounded good. No worries I bought the car to drive it and it will be an adventure. Done explaining to the likes of APC which it seems like should be a prevailing mantra going forward. Jeez

I’m in as long as we can stop at the same rest stops, gas stations, and motels. I’m not a loud sleeper, but I love a nice back rub after a long time on the road driving.

This makes sense and like I said, I figured there had to be more to it. Best of luck either way on your travels and good luck at "Delta"?

By all means don’t give up because of APC. Craigslist will get you a much better response. Best of luck and stay safe!
