Axis Headset?
Has anyone tried this headset? https://axisheadset.com
It looks great - lighter than Clarity Aloft and probably more comfortable, given the flexible nature of the band. Reviews on the site sound good, but I'm always a bit suspicious of reviews on the manufacturer's website. They seem to have several reviews from airline pilots, so I'm surprised I didn't find a thread here about them.
Anybody have experience with them?

I just bought the Axis (long mic version). Very well put together and packaged very professionally. I have used the QT Halo and the Clarity Aloft Pro Plus, and after a 4 day work block flying the bus that included 4 hour+ legs, I’m very happy with the Axis.
In the case the Axis takes up way less room than the Clarity Aloft in its case.
If you wear glasses you’ll fiddle with bending the frame around and adjusting it to get comfortable but then it’s great.
I recommend giving it a go.

Haha. Nope. Normal head size. Probably a bit emptier than others 
I chose the long mic version to give myself options. I haven’t worn it over the head yet. I have tried it down around the neck which was comfortable but then the mic doesn’t move with your head when you turn your head. Around the neck is a good option when the other pilot takes the headset off in cruise but you still want your ears protected and be able to hear the radios.
Two things I would change:
1. change the adapter the ear tip connects to with the threaded connection for the Comply ear tips
2. have an airbus xlr connector as an option with a longer cord to reach up to the connection on the flight deck without a heavy adapter.

They do not come off. It’s the opposite. They are on so tight that when you go to change the ear tip, you have to really yank on them. You don’t have to change tips frequently so it’s not that big of a deal. With Clarity Aloft I have, I wash the ears tips and change them every few months if they are still working well. Since they are still Comply ear tips, I expect to do the same with the Axis.
The two items I mentioned above would take the Axis from a 4.8 to 4.9 stars.

The background noise from the mic isn’t bad at all. Captains have said they mic clarity is really good. I did play with the gain adjustment and it made a slight difference - not a major change - but like I said, the background noise isn’t bad. I was getting more background noise from the captains uflymic setup than mine (tested by turning off the intercom).
Audio quality for the speakers is on par with clarity aloft, though the sound is just a bit different due to the acoustic tubes instead of speakers being directly in the ear pieces, not bad at all, just a different type of sound and still very good.
ATC never complained they couldn’t hear me, and I could hear them just fine.
I played with the aux input too. I bought a cheap Bluetooth gadget on Amazon and if you use the cord Axis provides, you can make cell calls with the headset. I was told that I sounded like I was in a can on the call, but that I could be understood fine. Could be the headset or could be the cheap Bluetooth gadget.
