Research Survey

Hello everyone!
Long time reader, first time poster here. I'm conducting a small research study for a grad class I'm taking and I'm looking into what effect, if any, the ATP rule has had on when pilots get hired to a company operating under part 121. If you feel comfortable sharing, could you respond to this post with the total time you had when you were hired and if you were hired either before or after July 15, 2013. All data I use for this study is 100% anonymous. There's no names, other than your forum username, linked to the data or any other PID information shared.
Thanks for your consideration and I wish you all clear skies and fair winds!
Jim

Good luck!

I had 9000 hours and was hired before July 15, 2013.

The first time I got hired at a 121 carrier was before 2013 and I had about 1500 hours (and several hundred ME).

Hired after that date with approximately 3500 hours.

Thanks for the quick responses! Encourage your 121 friends and coworkers to come respond, the bigger the data pool the better!

Initially hired as a profesional Flight Engineer (A&P) with a few hundred hours that did not matter.
Some time later hired into the right seat of that company with about 3500 hours built while flying 135 freight and some 91 gigs.

Hired into my first 121 gig prior to 2013 with 4600 hours.

First 121 job was with about 1,200 hours in 1999. I have an aviation degree so my understanding is I could have legally done the same thing post 117.
