A better forum search tool
While this forum software is a pretty good platform to build an online community with, one of the areas that could be improved is the search performance. Until that happens, here are two search resources that can help you find what you're looking for:
The first is Google Blog Search: http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en
In my tests, the APC forums placed well in the "pilot" specific searches
The other resource is a custom Google URL search that we have installed at:
http://airlinepilotcentral.com/apc_f...070412221.html
The URL search yields some pretty impressive performance in ferreting out info from old threads. Here is a primer on using the Google search tool to help you get the most out of it: http://www.google.com/help/basics.html
