Whats the deal with Pilot's watch's

It's common knowledge that stickers on your chart case will make you fly better. Same goes with watches. But with so many choices, which one's right for you? All I can say is that I've concluded that the enhancement of your skills will be directly proportional to the complexity and price of your watch. I just picked up a Pulsar (made by Seiko) at JC Penny's for $120. Has an analog stop watch and an E6B (if you're in a situation where you have to resort to the E6B on your watch, there's some serious issues).

You forgot to mention the "Aviator" sunglasses. Personally I think they're stupid looking, and most people that wear them are the ones that the first thing they say is "Hi I'm a pilot, how many hours you got, I've flown blah blah blah, what about you?..........etc..."

I think aviators actually serve a purpose... they are so thin framed that they help alot when you're wearing a headset. you dont notice them as much and they help keep the seal on ur headset better. i always notice i hear better with my aviators and my head hurts less afterwards too (as compared to thicker framed glasses)

Giggity... what I was getting at... you need A watch... don't save up for an aviation one unless you've got money to throw around. Get a solid watch that's comfortable, easy to read, and that fits your hand well. Mine was a gift from my dad -- he wanted to buy me a 350$ citizen one but I opted for the 60% off clearance item -- hurts seeing money wasted when it could be put towards something more practical. I've seen many w/ the timex expedition... solid watch.

I have a $30 Walmart Timex. It's analog with a digital window I set to Zulu time. It tells time and thats all you need. I don't care about the expensive watches, sunglasses, headsets and other crap. I get what works and that's all. I do have a some Raybans, but I didn't buy them.
