1 hour.

20 minutes to figure out where the hell I am, how I got there, and why I feel so bad. Turn on the TV and watch the weather or news.

20 minutes to get ready.

10 to do last minute packing and to make sure I didn't forget anything.

Always 10 early for the van.

I put everything I own in one location. I pack the night before. My clothes are always ironed and ready to go. For the super early shows, I will have a redbull on ice ready to go (assuming I can find a gas station the night before).

I'm not a morning person in any way, so I need the extra time to get going. Some guys manage to do 20-30 minutes before the van, but that's just not an option for me. I'm more suited for flying boxes at night, than people at the ass crack of dawn.

30 minutes, but I'm starting to lean towards 45 minutes.

You have to have a system...

Hotel Breakfast? 1 hour or you get rushed and spill syrup on your tie.

Need to iron a shirt? 45 minutes

Reuse yesterday's shirt? 35 Minutes

REALLY early show in the wrong time zone? Get everything ready the night before including shaving: 20 min

this is my schedule too.

Anything earlier than 6:00AM, shave the night before. For a CDO/highspeed, shave before your evening show time, and that's it. Don't even pack the razor.
20-30 minutes for an early show. 45 minutes for a later show. Adjust as necessary for breakfast.

I can't believe I just read all of this, lol.

Walking away from the computer now.

Boredom like this has to be dangerous.

1 hour man here

If i work out the night before, and shower that night, i'll typically go w/ 30-40 minutes before. Still have to crap and shave. Use the hat to hold everything, try to keep my phone on the desk away from my nightstand (don't wanna be hitting snooze to much) and the hat keeps me from forgetting my I.D. I also never try to pack up the morning i'm leaving, everything will be in the bag the night before, just needing to be zipped up. Besides shower stuff, if needed that morning.

Wake up shivering in a ball in my freakin bed too cold to get up and it's like 5am so no help diving for the curtains either. Then there's the choice you have to make. Do you lay in bed and curl up to an even tighter ball or do you jump out damn near screaming as you fight the battle against the cold towards the AC unit on the wall/floor? THEN as you start getting closer the air that's blowing out at 45mph and colder than all hell starts hitting you in the face so you duck down as close to you can to the floor. Next comes the squatted crab walk where you inch by inch work yourself closer under the razor sharp jetstream of air leaning in with your longest finger and star hitting the (^) button until it gets up into the 70s and the thing manages to shut off.... Only then have you won the battle.

This has to be some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. Doubled over. You sir are missing your call just being a pilot. "squatted crap walk". Should write a Jerry Seinfield style sit-com. Keep up the good work!

Can't, he did a good job angering the mods and got banned.

Don't worry though, you can see the duck and his backpack trying to commute to STL :)
