Taking a date flying?

I am thinking about taking a girl up flying in the Nashville TN area. I have over 200 hrs thus far and am confident while flying. My instructor and I once flew up to downtown Nashville at night and circled the city a few times. I thought that would be a good idea but have never taken a date up. I was just looking for some tips from anyone who has done this.

Thanks in advance

P.S.
She is a former flight attendant so I know she is not afraid of flying.

This works for a good date. I've done it a few times. However flying in a small aircraft is different from the big ones no matter how used to flying she may be. The flying date can backfire horribly if she gets sick. Make sure the weather is good.

haha I always flew with my g/f, but on one of our first dates I went to take her up in a 172SP and I forgot to turn the Alternator on so when the Low voltage light or something like that came on, I pussed out and we went back, only to find out the next day what I did..............talk about embarrassed, I didnt tell her though

I've taken my now fiancee up a bunch of times. On our second date, we took a 182 down to Monterey, CA and spent the day there. She's been hooked ever since. Since then we've done everything from flying a Baron across the USA to putzing down to Baja California in a 172. She's now working on her private multi. :D

Make it something scenic and romantic. Ask if she wants to fly the plane, kinda show her how to bank, climb, descend, etc. Fly over her house if you can. And make sure to do it all around sunset.... ;)

And don't forget to post the pics on here after!! :D

Nice thing about night-time, those really tall towers light up well:D The cool thing is that for her, she'll be able to actually see what's going on instead of doing her job. If the plane has auto-pilot, then you're really in good shape!!!

I've done it before. On my first date with my ex we took a 172 on a night sightseeing tour of the lakefront in Chicago. I let her hold the controls for a bit, and we just chatted the whole time. When we came back to MKE I had a car waiting at the FBO to take us to dinner down by the lake. All in all it was a great date, and we ended up being together for three years.
