I love the iPhone UI although I wouldn't buy one because of the closed system - no apps, no freedom to choose your own network, and now the iBrick

This is the smartphone I just bought, HSLD. Blackberry Curve from AT&T. I installed an iPhone skin on it, so the screen looks like an iPhone...

Like I said before, I like the iPhone, although for me, I'd need a phone that had an open architecture that allows 3rd party apps to run AND that would let me choose my own network provider. For the consumer, I think that there will be a rush of products to fill that void and ultimately the consumer will win. That said, Apple deserves credit for taking cell phones to the next step in hardware evolution. |
