Domiciles

I've noticed on the various airline pages on this site that some of the airlines list "home based" as their domiciles. What exactly does this mean? I currently live a half-hour from EWR. Does that mean that if I were to eventually work for a home-based airline, I could continue living where I am? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I searched the forums and couldn't find a good answer.

Home basing means that the company will commercial air you to whereever the plane is. (IE they buy you a ticket to work). Some companies have criteria as to where you can be home based, others do not (IE must have enought service to be able to reach a particular city/cities by 10am...)
