Luggage Works Vs PNT

Luggage Works Vs PNT
Are the two the same company? The bags look pretty identical except that the luggageworks cost a lot more. Does anyone know the difference other than the name? Thanks to anyone that can clarify this...
The reason I'm asking is, I'm in the market for a rollaboard and flight case that's not too cheap and will last me some time. I saw the previous post about rollaboards and flight cases and everyone seemed to mention the PNT Stealth but said nothing about the LW stealth. Just wondering... If you have any experience with either please let me know.

I think LW bought Purdy Neat a couple years ago. The older bags had a lifetime warranty but the newer bags (since 2004 or so) only have a 3-year warranty (?) I don't know if that's the difference. Could the bags you're seeing be from 4-year old inventory?
Is the price difference on both bags at the same store/website?

LuggageWorks makes the PNT bags. They also make several cheaper lines that ARE NOT the same as the PNT bags. There is also a plastic frame version of the PNT, which is cheaper. The 22" PNT stealth is the one you want (i.e. the "classic" steel frame bag). I think the cheaper line is called LuggageWorks "Regal" or something like that. Spend the money, get the PNT. You will not regret it. Its a great product.

Does anyone that uses the 26" Stealth have any problems with it as carry-on luggage? I know it doesn't technically qualify but the depth and width fit the criteria and I have heard that some ACMI pilots, even out of uniform, carry it on without any problems.

I was home based with an ACMI and flew all over for years with my 26" PNT bag as a carryon, never had a problem.
