Awesome pictures...have never seen an a/c iced up that bad.

However, I did have one CLOSE to that a couple months ago. There was only one agent around, so we helped out with the deice process...We gave it one general coat of deice fluid, refilled the deicer, sat around for 6-7 hours and hoped for it to melt a little, then deiced it again. The plane was clean just in time for the late crew to come and take our airplane back to Denver while we waited another 2 hours for another airplane to come in just so we could make our overnight!

A memorable day.:D

nice, can it still fly like that?? heehee, just kidding. Awesome pictures. I have never seen an airplane with such a bad ice rash as that one. That's funny that some people were still ****ed that they flight didn't take place.

Won't the ice make you fly faster? It's slippery. :D

I had a lady ask me once how the plane gets enough tire traction to takeoff in snow. She thought the tires would just spin. I told her we had snow tires with chains.
