I usually use mine to build forts with. The other day the Captain and I did a full re-creation of the Alamo with pterodactyls in the flight deck with US High Enroute charts. It was fun. We also made hats and a broach... got some weird looks from pax when they deplaned.

I used them to make a wall map of the southwest for flight planing.

Old low charts: wrapping paper
Old plates: recycle
Old FAR/AIM: fire starter

old charts are good for practicing oragami.

We should give them to the FO's at GreatLakes... I hear they have to share with the captain. After they are dangerously expired (2-3 years) they can use them TP, cooking heat, kleenex, blanket, umbrella, food... really any of the luxuries we all take for granted that they can't afford.

I use mine to beat homeless people. A stack of five or six enroute charts will leave a pretty nice welt if you hit the hobo in the same place a few times.

I can't help but laugh at this :D. Maybe it's because I just had a 15.8 hour duty day, but for what ever reason I find it funny... thanks for the laugh!

Used charts

Hi, I am currently a freshmen in high school. I love to fly the Boeing 767-300ER on Flight Simulator, but the price of new charts is outrageous. I was wondering if anyone has some expired charts that they could sell to me. I am in great need of charts for O'hare intl. airport. I am also looking for any used enroute(HI) charts. I would be happy with any charts. I prefer jeppesen, but naco will do.

Thanks

AAL763... hit the local FBO for the naco charts, and you can print approach plates off the net. Probably cheaper then someone sending you them... Jepp charts will be another story.

They make good shipping stuffing. If your an E-bayer or throwing something in the parcel, you could crumple them up and use it if you dont have news paper...

good for animal leftovers too... hamster cage, bird cadge, etc....
