No Thread specified... ???
Question to moderators regarding “disappearing threads.”
I noticed that whenever the moderators move or merge two threads into one the emails generated when someone posts in the “old” thread” like this one: WAFP has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Frontier Chapter 11 - in the Major forum of Airline Pilot Central Forums. This thread is located at: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/showthread.php?t=24973&goto=newpost Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Good Luck Frontier guys! *************** … will give you this message: No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator Is there a way to have those who subscribed to the old thread to be redirected to the new location of the old thread? Hope I’m making sense here… |
Yes, there should be a permanent re-direct for moved and merged threads. Deleted threads will still have the "no thread specified" if you've subscribed.
Thanks for the heads up. |
