Where to go???
WARNING: Slight Ranting might be included.
With all the regional hiring coming to what seems to be a screeching halt... the school year coming to an end, and my future plans about as clear as our flight school's C-172's windscreens in the summer-time.... i'm really confused on where to go now.... I'm currently instructing here at my school, but in the past 8 months i've logged, 100 hours... planes are always down for maintenance... weather never cooperates in VA here..
I feel this place is a dead end street for me. I don't mind instructing, and actually enjoy it more than i thought i would. (if you're student comes prepared) But I want to fly... Not sit there and say "you're doing it wrong!" I want to make a decent wage. Not that first year FO pay is the greatest, but I average about $150/wk... so i barely survive!!!!!!!!! and when i say barely... i mean.. thank god my tax return came back so i could pay rent... I'm scraping by and sick of it.
Im looking for options as to where to go. At this point, I really don't care, I just need to be able to afford to eat and have a roof over my head. Anybody know of any charter Companies flying twin piston....??? ANYTHING
I have 350/ 150 multi... would like to live back home in FL....

Thats a pretty sorry flight school you're at them, sorry to hear that. Any reputable place you should be able to instruct as much as you want and make a decent wage. I remember working my ass of and getting around 120 hours a month flight instructing and it actually paid the somewhat poverty bills on time.
