Thanks to those who are serving and have served.
The sacrifice made can be as simple as time, years out of your life stuck in a quiet backwater serving your country.
Or, as we are all aware, it can be spent freezing or sweating under fire in a not so quiet backwater.
It can mean incurring injury with lifelong impacts and sacrifices.
Most siginificantly, it can mean the ultimate sacrifice.
This weekend, while we enjoy our freedom with family and friends, let's keep in our hearts and prayers those who are serving and have served.
I humbly salute and thank you.
Out of respect, please keep this thread apolitical.

It's sad that a day of remembrance ( http://www.memorialdayorigin.info/ )
has turned into a holiday from work...
has turned into a holiday from work...

Maybe that is why it should go back to being "Decoration Day". It's much easier to focus on the meaning while standing in front of a head stone.
And for those who are serving now, why not donate to:
the USO https://www.uso.org/donate/custom.aspx
make up a care package http://www.anysoldier.com/
or just pay for one http://www.treatsfortroops.com/ https://www.uso.org/donate/custom.aspx?id=565&
Know a kid whose mom or dad is serving? Take him/her to a ball game or movie
