Where to go in the Caribbean

My girlfriend and I have a 2 nights/3 days to spend somewhere and neither of us have been to the Caribbean. Any tips on someplace decent and relatively inexpensive. I have US Air benefits. Thanks!

I'd second that. St. Croix too.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. That's where I got my Open Water License. Great diving when I was there, but I haven't been there in years and don't know what fishing has done to them since then. The resort we stayed at was great fun, with guests from all over the world, international cuisine, and a variety of nighttime entertainment.

The best diving I've seen so far is in Cozumel, which is supposed to have the second "best" reefs in the world (Great Barrier being number one). If you could, I would highly recommend getting your license there.

If you go to Jamaica, I recommend flying into Montego Bay. If you have any kids, consider the FDR resorts, but if not, then there are many more higher-class resorts to stay at that have beautiful views of the jungle and the sea. The diving in Jamaica isn't that great, though -- fishing has pretty much destroyed all of the nice reefs. There are some nice airplane and ship wrecks to explore, though, if that's your thing.

Hope this helped!

EDIT: If you want a decent time for a pretty good price, I recommend the FDR resorts.
