One turbine beats 2 (or more) piston poppers ANY day. CE |
With just one turbine engine, is there any turning tendency from the torque of the turbines?
I've never flown a turbine powered aircraft so please excuse the noob question |

Two or more turbopropeller or turbofan engines, please. :D |
Well I fly TBM's and Meridians, and I'd much rather have that single turbine anyday. When's the last turbine failure you've heard about compared to piston? You really have to try to mess one up.
Phuz- All the new factory planes pretty much have either an airspeed activated, or squat-switch activated ground-mode to altitude mode, so unless you get fidgity and touch buttons manually, it's already on. Honestly the people flying TBM's as private owners are just as professional as pro pilots I've dealt with, very conservative and good pilots. |
