Huh...I guess they haven't checked the demographics out at all if they think they can charge money for APCF...something about "I make less than $18,000/year" and "Family need before corporate greed!"

"probably, just wait for the membership fees to start................"
Naw, just a fee scale per infraction. It's a new concept.
You'll have to submit a credit card to join. Then, every * we deduct a quarter. A four letter word with stars, such as ****, will cost you a dollar. An infraction will cost you $10, but we'll give a 20% off at the regional forum. Only fair (volume discount)....

I've never been able to get my favorite mod (that would be you, FDXer ) to give me an infraction, so maybe I'll pay for one now. An infraction for $100, Alex.

The tech migration has caused some usability problems - i.e. slow page loads but as the migration and load balancing is fine tuned we'll be back to normal.

As for the future deployment of ads on these forums:
If you look at the ads on PPRuNe Forums - Professional Pilots Rumour Network, whom IB also owns, they are not in your face. Contrast that with other large forums like The Hangar, who have ads littered everywhere and also require a fee upon registration.
I hope everyone can live with a few ads in return for continual free access to the heaps of useful information here.
