Your Crashman is into the more exotic aviation vids too, and has the following suggestions:

Vid collector's sticky note: Here is the muthalode of all thrilling clips & crash vid footage, sorted out for us and updated often (all maintained by Jay Honeck, a GenAv pilot and hotel owner in Iowa, what a guy!):

http://www.alexisparkinn.com/aviation_videos.htm

On his great page you'll find my WWII "Gun Cam Overture" vid compilation:
http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photoga...ompilation.wmv

...and check out some of his newer ones:

This 1982 video of Jacques Borne firing 68 mm rockets over Gabon, Africa, shows the last rocket firing by a Skyraider anywhere in the world. Contributed by his son, Frederic.

Socata (?) lands on a moving car & ...oops...

Best digitized version of the classic F-100 Super Sabre tailstand I've seen:

..... and very many more. When you are tired of collecting those check out

Smile a more exotic dogfight vid

You WW2-combat fans might enjoy this little music vid, has lotsa rare color guncam footage and some truly amazing CGI graFX from a very talented gentleman in Japan. A small tribute to both sides' brave young fliers who gave their all in combat. Turn your sound on & volume up.

PROUD AND GLORIOUS
http://www.badongo.com/vid/87670

Note on using Badongo to get files:

The best thing to do is hit the "download" link right under the vidscreen, and then sometimes you gotta wait 30 sec. for the little counter there on the download page that says "All download slots are currently busy - Please wait xx seconds". The DL page will say in red: "Dont like Waiting ? Click here to skip the waiting Period" - don't klik that, it's just an ad for their premium service. Then a "Click here to download" greybar will pop up when it's ready and the counter reaches 0. Try DLing it now and look for the little counter, easy to miss, it's small print near the top of the DL page.
If it times out on you pls. try again a bit later, they're doing sporadic maint. today but always come back online real soon. (RSN)

Glad you enjoyed it Super6.That's the work of Tochiro-san, a real professional expert at LightWave 3D CGI graFX. In that music vid I edited using some of Tochy's material, some rez was lost by the necessary compression. Take a look at his original vids on his own site. Just amazing - and his air combat tactics are right on. Those Mustangs were doing the old "attack me" trick where 1 guy trolls along low and alone looking vulnerable, while the rest of his formation waits at high six up in the sun. When the 2 Zeros took the bait the trap sprung, but not before they had put some rounds thru the low man. Did you see how the Nipponese guy threw his flaps out and used his Zero's great tight-turning radius and lightweight superior rate of climb to almost turn the tables? But two Mustangs scissor him by breaking in opposite directions and those Zeros flame like Zippos, no armor... That last Japanese subtitle where the kid is standing there says something like "Soon the war is over...". The Bettys you see in the color footage were carrying Okha Cherry Blossom manned suicide rocket gliders, that's why the attacking fighters sheered off earlier than usual in the gun passes. 2500+ pounds of hi-explosive warhead there... Tochy even studies things like the old propellers they still fish out of Tokyo Bay. His aircraft are perfect right down to the dings on the paint and the black soot behind the exhaust stacks. Here's Tochy's outstanding site, check it out:

Smile couple more fun video compilations

Saddle up pardner, we're gonna ride the Russian Airshow Range today. From midairs to botched low loops to simple engine failure - these guys can never quite finish an aerobatic sequence but the crowd loves them anyway.

MiG BONANZA
http://www.badongo.com/vid/93499

This hallucinatory vid begins with a rare and awesome clip of a Russian nuclear test in Novaya Zemlya in which some old MiGs are destroyed by the blast wave. Spitfires and 109s whirl, spin and shoot with the elegant precision of Spanish dancers... for those who love the beauty of flight.
