Divorce or Affair
As previously stated, I'm on my 20th year as a Bengals fan. I have remained true throughout all these years. Through the Super Bowl debacle, the dark years I will affectionately refer to as '90-'03. Then there was some hope as it seemed like my beloved was finally starting to improve herself. Now this year we are now 0-3.
As I live in ATL, I am emotionally tied to the Bengals. However, how long does one go on before its best to either seek the comfort of another or just have a fling. I am thinking of having a fling by going to a Falcons game and see if there is something there. If so, we'll see how I am treated over the course of this season. If I am treated well, do I just hide the fact that there is another, or do I remain true to the Bengals and just hope for next year? I am so jaded right now I find it hard to remain a fan. After all, I believe we have won around 80 games in my 20 years as a fan. Anyone else been in my position? |
What? You don't love the sideshow that is Ocho Cinco?
Could be worse. You could be a Rams fan. I'm just wondering when their season actually starts. :) |
Up until last year, I was so fed up with the Cowboys that I became a hockey fan. Lots of NWA guys who played in high school or college have explained the finer points to this Arizona boy........Go Stars!
Ferd <--------recommends divorce |
I never used to follow the Bengals that much, but ever since I moved to CVG I have been following them. I am no Bengals fan by all means, but don't they usually start out pretty weak at the beginning of the season? Either way, I love to watch them lose:D Don't even get me started on Ocho Cinco:rolleyes: Just from watching the news lately, it seems all Ohio sports teams aren't doing too hot these days... Bengals, Reds, Ohio State...?
I'd say find a new team! http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/1...broncosgz1.png CRJDriver's Team |
How do you think Lions' fans feel? I know many were cheering for the 49ers today. Now maybe there is hope Millen will get the door. It's just too bad WC Ford won't be going with him. At least Red Wings training camp opened in TVC this weekend!

You guys think you have it bad, why don’t you try living in Houston and being a Texans fan! Just don’t get me started…
However, my favorite sport would definitely have to be the UFC!!! Dana White for president!! |
If you're gonna divorce your first team, why not trade up?
Falcons for the Bengals? Ick. |

As a dyed in the wool Miami Dolphin fan, I understand your pain. I remember the two Super Bowl victories in the '70's; the Killer "B" defense; the Marino, Clayton & Duper show; and in recent years the Swiss cheese defense and as far as offense goes the "Miami Mullets".
From 7/1998 to 12/2000, I lived in Ohio. In the Nati, I live on Harrison Avenue about three blocks from Cheviot. In Dayton, I lived in some apartments at the corner of Philadelphia & Needmore. Since I was in Bengals land, I became somewhat sympathetic to the Bengals. I found myself cheering them on and really feeling bad for the team and their fans when they lost. But I never forsaked for my first and only love....the Miami Dolphins. I say have an affair, but you'll always come home. Go Dolphins!!! Dolphins 38 Patriots 13 atp |

Bucs fanatic here myself...im glad we pulled through and came back on the Bears in the 4th qtr..I never seen that coming..How bout those RAYS !!!!! :D As to the original post..I say stick with your team..nobodys perfect..we all have our ups & downs..look at my situation with the Tampa teams..nobody was doing good but now Bucs, Rays , USF (football), & Lightning are doing well  |
I must agree, I keep coming back to the Bungals. What team was wearing a Dolphins uniform yesterday that just put the smackdown on the NE? Both the Patriots and the Colts are looking like they will be lucky to get to the playoffs this year.

DAL4EVER,
Go with the fling! Just don't get emotionaly tied to your new woman. ;) |
Stick with the bengals, there is too much talent there for them to stay bad for long. Hey, at least you guys got a quarterback!!
Chicago Bears notable QB's since 1995... 1995-present Erik Kramer Steve Walsh Dave Kreig Rick Mirer Cade Mc Nown Jim Miller Moses Moreno Shane Matthews Chris Chandler Henry Burress Kordel Stewert Chad Hutchinson Kreg Krenzel Jonathan Quinn Rex Grossman Brian Greise Kyle Orton** current starter Anyone ever heard of any of these guys? |
