Airport clubs

Any one belong to any of the airlines airport club/lounges? IE Admirals club, Red Carpet etc.

I have not been in one but spend an awful lot of time sitting around airport on reserve. Are pilots in uniform welcome (if members) and if so is it an awkward place to be in uniform?

Thanks for your thoughts.

They are a great place to hang out. Delta does not want you to be in uniform. Not sure of others. It is awkward being in there in uniform, though. Some clubs you have to show a same day boarding pass also, so look into that restriction before you join. Continental and NWA clubs are nice. United OK. Delta nice. Airways - never been. Join one that has free booze and guest privileges so you (and a friend/spouse) can really enjoy when you are not working.

Priority Pass

If you're considering buying a club membership, look into Priority Pass. Airport Lounges | VIP Access Worldwide | Priority Pass

Gives you access to multiple airlines' clubs in the US and international. My girlfriend does a lot of international travel for her job and absolutely swears by it.
