The 30 Busiest Passenger Airports in the World This is a list of the thirty busiest airports for passenger traffic, based on 2004 data from the Airports Council International. Since 1998, Atlanta has been the world's busiest passenger airport. Numbers represent the number of passengers enplaned and deplaned with passengers in transit counted only once. 1.
