Thought this was funny
Doesn't really belong in this forum, but maybe these guys can give themselves a big fat bonus just like airline CEOs after they "streamline" their operations by cutting a bunch of jobs. I'm just tickled pink that my tax dollars will be fueling these scumbags' jets......
Big Three auto CEOs flew private jets to ask for taxpayer money - CNN.com |
It was either that or they drive it in big black Escalades with the bling-bling wheels...turns out the jets got better mileage.

They say that for safety reasons they have to have their own jet. So we are so unsafe? How many millions of people travel SAFELY on us each year? Maybe they are talking about safety from the people that will, upon hearing who they are, beat the crap out of them for shipping their jobs overseas.

I like what Cavuto said a couple weeks ago. To paraphrase: "Sure we'll support the decision to bail out the auto insustry, so long as you (the CEO's) leave. No golden parachute, no expensive buy out package, no stock options. Pack up your things and go. You are the ones responsible for your failing business, so you should be the first problem cut."

What I find so sad is that the government had no problem giving the BANKS the money, then they charge up to 30% interest on money they are getting for almost NOTHING. But the problem I see is that the banks AREN'T giving the money out, so why did we bail them out in the first place? The car industry can't sell cars if the people can't get money. Seems it's the BANKS fault for hoarding something they should be lending out. I feel sorry for all the workers at the motor car divisions. The CEO's will walk away smelling like roses AGAIN, while the average Joe will be hitting the streets, AGAIN. And for those that say these workers are overpaid, have you seen the cost of living in Detroit?? :(
