Default Temperature Aloft

I saw -65 at FL 400 last night. I have been seeing temps in the -60s quite a bit this season (all CONUS flying). If I had to guess, I'd say the average I've seen in my career has ranged between -45 and -55.

Has anyone else noticed lower than standard temps?

Yes sir, and last year too. This was called global warming, but is now called "Climate Change"-it is caused solely by your greed.

It would be a lot colder than that if it was a function of my greed.

This could win you a Nobel Prize.

It is really quite simple, we just need to quit burning fossil fuels, give more money to the UN, and then sit back and huddle in the dark and cold until we return to the proper temperature. The proper temperature has yet to be determined.
