Exclamation Taking Chance--- HBO Original Movie <--- Can't wait to see it

Anybody else see the trailor for this on HBO, I swear I can't help but get all chocked up when I watch it. Based on a true story I know what I will be doing the 21st.

This is why I always make it a point to thank those in the service when I see em in the airport.

Default Great Movie

It looks like a great movie. I know that I will be watching it.

On another note I read that Kevin Bacon used Bernie Madoff to manage much of his wealth. I hope he is alright.

Does anyone remember him in the movie Animal House? I brought that movie up to a bunch of college student renters that I have and they claim that they have never heard of it.

That was 30 years ago and your renters probably weren't even born yet, Sky. I know how you feel, it's as though all the culture that formed our youthful world is gone and forgotten. I remember Watergate being covered daily on the evening news, new Sedan De Villes were $7,000 and Elton John had not yet come out of the closet.

I remember "BREAKING NEWS" used to be a plane crash, or a president was shot. that's IT!

Default Taking Chance

I subscribed just to reply to you today. I had the honor of attending the screening for this movie last night. I won tickets through Entertainment Weekly. Tell everyone you know not miss it, I will be watching again on the 21st. I cannot quit thinking about this movie and I know that I will for quite a while. I was raised in an Air Force family and I never knew the extent of the line of respect given to those fallen in service. The scenes where the bodies are being prepared for transport are engraved in my mind. I was amazed at the level of care, empathy and respect to every detail. I recently contracted with a hospital and know people that worked in pathology and the morgue and that is not the same scene! Our Military is to be praised for the time, effort, expense and complete respect that is expended upon our fallen. I am still getting choked up just thinking about the movie - I have already watched the trailer again on my computer three times this morning. I have never done such a thing after watching a movie. At first I had thoughts that the movie was moving too slowly and seemed to be detached from intricate personal details. I now know why it was directed that way. For those who think deeply, this was an exceptional thought provoking movie. Thank you HBO. Note - make sure tissues are close by when watching.
