anybody skydiving here?

I'm just wondering how many pilots are skydiving as well...
how many jumps ?

Photon 02-13-2009 10:14 AM

1 tandem jump so far, hope to get more of them, maybe an accelerated free fall program at some point

3 jumps...700+ hours as a jump pilot.

Looking to do more jumping and jumper dumping. Def looking to do more diver driving with the industry being in the shape it's in.

Are you a jumper mx? Where's your home DZ?

No, I'm not a jumper...I just did one static line jump back in 2007..at Skyknights Sport Parachuting in East Troy Wisconsin....

I hope to get more jumps and get into jumpers dumping soon...

knees in the breeze

I have about 1500 skydives but have been pretty in active for the last two years. was doing tandems and wingsuit flying and got into base jumping pretty hard back in 05. but have slowed down since moving back to alaska getting engaged and flying floats part time. moving back to the states this summer (michigan) and hope to get my knees in the breeze real soon. good luck it a great way to kill alot of time and money. So (32.174 ft/sec 2) isn't good enough? ;)

That's cool...I've talked to a person or two connected with Skyknights...do you plan to go back there to fly?

Did you jump in Michigan? Most of the diver driving I've done so far was for Skydive Tecumseh up in the Great Lakes state...very fun DZ...supposed to be getting an Otter for the summer.

jrutt 04-14-2009 02:45 PM

Skydive Tecumseh was my first job 14 years ago. Great start at flying so glad i did not have to teach!

ah, it's not like a falling faster than normal program. Just an integrated program to get your jump ticket

Diverting a bit from the subject, I wanted to do the simulated indoor sky diving... Is there a facility in Florida that offers this?

Thanks!

KC135guy 05-12-2009 02:49 PM

I thought about trying out the indoor sky diving place while TDY in Ogden, Ut since there is NO way I would actually jump from a plane, but never had the time. Instead I'm going to have my wife tossed out of a plane at 10K this Saturday.

I know there is one in Orlando. Not sure if there are any others in Florida. I have never done indoor skydiving, but this is the website.

Just did my first jump (tandem) ever in Vegas last week! The ride up was awesome too... It was a Cessna 208 - climbed like a rocket!

JBell93 07-16-2009 10:24 AM

I went indoor skydiving last year at Niagara falls, I had already booked my first AFF skydive so just wanted to get the experience. Its really fun, although doesn't seem to last very long when your in there, and if your good the instructor will let go and let you try spinning.

Went to go do my first jump at Grand Bend near the end of June but the clouds were too low for the whole week! So now I'm heading back in a couple weeks to do two jumps, hopefully the weather cooperates this time:)

I'm hoping to finish all the jumps required to get my skydiving ticket by next year! (Fingers crossed!)
