Baseball

We are well into the season and I would be interested to see what cities it is possible to non rev to and ride public transportation to and from a baseball stadium.

Post what cities you know how to get form the airport to the stadium.

MSP you can take the light rail from either the Humphrey or the Lindberg terminal to the Metrodome to watch the Twins

You can at STL. Just take the Metro in the terminal to downtown, and walk a few blocks to the stadium.

That idea sounds like a lot of fun.

ORD...take the blue line to the Addison station and jump on a bus for a few blocks, and you'll be basking in the glory that is Wrigley Field. I did just that for opening day last year, and it worked perfectly.

Boston's T will take you from Logan to Fenway via a couple stops for a couple bucks. It's a good system except it's not 24 hours but the games don't often run that late except of course against NY.

MDW or ORD you can get to either Comiskey or Wrigley via the EL

ATL to Turner via MARTA

I did this and it worked out great. I know they run extra trains from the Fenway stop after the game, however I recommend high-tailing it over there right after the last out, lest you wait in line for the next train with a thousand other people.

Also, Citi field in NY is a short cab ride from LGA and Baltimore has a train that will take you straight to the Warehouse district (Camden Yards) from the airport. Best of luck!

YYZ is a hassle. Sadly, there is no easy connection into the city from the airport. Baltimore has a train that will drop you off right infront of the stadium.

That's too bad. When I was CFI'ing however I flew into YTZ and was able to get downtown pretty easily. Maybe you could fly to YUL instead and JS on Porter? The tickets to the Jays games were listed so cheap!

Arlington is the largest city in the country without a mass transit system - but then they don't really have a ball team either.
