Jesse James is a Dead Man

I was watching an episode of 'Jesse James is a Dean Man' on Spike TV.
He was getting an F-16 ride in preparation for a Nitro-Bike ride.
Good on Jesse - - - he got his 9-g pin!
Two of his quotes:
When asked if he wanted to do it again he said " [blank] no!!!"
He also said that it made snot come from his nose

There was another thread recently about the Blue Angels cutting some practice time. Along with Tuesday practices, I heard they weren't giving any more media rides for the time being.

Some people really like or dislike Jesse James. He's crude, but you will never have to guess how he feels about a subject. I like that and his work ethic, too bad there aren't more people out there like that anymore honestly

Boy this thread went downhill fast...

Sky, I think Jesse James is a welder who married Sandra Bullock. He is known for making artistic, some would say odd-looking vehicles on TV. I don't watch TV much anymore unless there's a tornado coming. I am about to quit watching it then too because by then there's nothing you can do about it.

I was trying to make a joke in reference to myself. Plenty of others here would say that I am crude and opinionated too. :)

Ok, I get it. But Sky you're not fundamentally a blue collar, hammer swinging type of guy. You may think you are... but you're not.

Years ago I was trapped in a truck drivers life and I decided I am too smart for this. Not too good, mind you, just too smart... and I reentered college at the age of 30 or so. It was actually the second degree program I had embarked upon, but this time I was in it for keeps. I knew what the stakes were and I wanted my piece of the pie and was willing to work for it. And I knew I had the brains to make it work if I wanted it to.

Long story short I got my piece of the pie as much as anyone of my graduating class. Alas the economy tanked like a lead balloon in a few years, it seems that even great airships can go down sometimes.... but I would do it again in a heartbeat and it would have been worth it even if I had to go back to truck driving now.

So, Sky you're a success if you want to be. It is just a matter of desire and self-perception. Look at this fool Jesse James, and all he has done. You should not consider yourself to be a blue collar worker if you do not want to be one. In your case I do not think it is true anyway.

Cuby let up. It was a bad joke, but I think some of us actually understood it.

as a side note....Jesse James isn't known because of his tv shows. He is known for his awesome Choppers and his company West Coast Customes.

I dunno what side of the bed you woke up on, but your life story isn't that important to the rest of us.

THis Hijack is fiinished.

I for one would like to see the show.

Hi-jack !!

I believe that blue collar jobs are the ones that will pay the most and be in the highest demand in the future.

The other day I heard a radio interview with a guy who has a phd in philosophy and now owns a motorcycle repair shop. He wrote a book about the phenomenon. Our national school system has dropped shop in favor of more computer stuff in the belief that we will need it to be competitive in the future.

The results are that we have an over educated population of employees that can not even changer their own oil. There is a drain of smart people with technical skills and a drive for entrepreneurship. If you are smart enough to set up an electrical panel and can run your own business you will be a wealthy person.

All my high school friends who went straight into the trades have done well. Most of my college educated peers have run into trouble. The future belongs to responsible, skilled vocational workers who own a business. People with business degrees and the associated employee mentality can end up working as a teller at a bank or at starbucks.
