Skype question

I am new to Skype and have a couple questions to those with experience.

1. I understand you can either set up your mobile (cell) # or an "online" number". What is the difference/advantages of each. Which options let people call you when they are at home (in the US) and you are overseas using Skype?

2. How do the Skype handsets work? Are they worth it? Do you have to be in a "free" wifi area to use them?

3. How do you record a call i.e. you are talking to crew scheduling?

Thanks in advance!

definite yes, I have a pretty good deal with Sprint and use a lot of roaming so I havn't looked into the possibilities or limitations of Skype on the ITouch.
I do like my ITouch, though.

Yes you can, but you have to use a headset with a built-in mic or get an adapter. We got my wife one from Griffin Technology and now she isn't tied to a computer when Skype'n with me overseas.
