help in sleeping better in the cockpit

For you FAR rule breakers that sleep on the flights you're getting paid to command, especially you cargo hounds, here's some advice that you may or may not already know. http://www.independenttraveler.com/r...70&category=13

The above was tongue in cheek, for any passengers who might be reading this.

Definitely the window seats are best for sleeping! I usually try to book one for any flight over 4 hours. Earplugs aren't a bad idea either. I forgot mine on a recent flight to DFW and I ended up seated in the middle of a gang of teenagers who did not shut up once during the 3 1/2 hour flight. I thought I was in hell...lol

HaHaHa

"(That an airline would stock a night flight with too few blankets and pillows is just further proof they're stupid, cheap, inconsiderate, or all three.)"

Reminds me of:
Rex Kramer: "Airport management, the FAA and the airlines. They're all cheats and liars."

I've got about thousand hours in the C-5 doing many 9 to 14 hour flights and the best thing for me is to take off those heavy boots and just kick your feet up.

But if anything all it takes is the whine of those c5 engines and I'll be asleep in no time.

I get paid to sit in first class, eat, watch movies, and sleep. Well, only for 1/3 of the flight, but it makes the long flights bearable. The other day, I did the takeoff and climb and was sitting in row 1 before level off. I ate while watching The Departed, then came up to fly in the middle of the Atlantic. It sucks doing the 8+ hour flight without a relief pilot.
